It’s been seven years since the foundation of the Venture Capital Forum (VCF). The French chamber of commerce in Canada is proud to present the 8th edition of this event, which remains the biggest financial event between France, Canada and the United-States.

Every year, the forum gives the opportunity to the North-American and European financial community to get together and generate co-investments opportunities. Considered as the fastest bridge between Europe and North-America, the forum is also a way for emerging and innovative companies to present their project to the main investment funds in France, Canada and the United States.

Brought together during workshops and conferences, the selected emerging companies, mostly focused on ITC , life Science and industrial innovation meet Venture Capital funds. Thanks to the wide range of topics and the quality of the speakers, the VCF has become the most important forum of companies’ investment in Canada, with more than 200 participants in 2011.

Since 2004, more than 100 companies looking for fund rising had recourse to financial support throughout the Venture Capital Forum. Lots of success stories were born during the past seven years and particularly the creation of several French investment funds in Quebec and the financing of many companies by investment funds.

As a result of its international success and recognition in the industry, the French chamber of commerce in Canada decided to extend the VCF projects’ selection by providing capital to early stage investing and later stage investing companies.

The objective of the forum is to raise between 1 to 10 million dollars from foreign funds with a view to help emerging companies. However, the forum will also include projects of more than 10 million dollars for companies looking for growth drivers between North-America and Europe.
